McMurtrie named ABC editorial director

ABC executive editor Craig McMurtrie has been named the network’s new editorial director, succeeding the retiring Alan Sunderland.
Acting ABC managing director David Anderson said McMurtrie has earned the position on account of his experience as a journalist and the respect he has in the workplace. McMurtrie joined the network in 1991 and steadily rose up the ladder, with his stints including bureau chief at Parliament House and in ABC News Washington DC.
