Lizzies Winners: Paul Smith, Paul Zucker Best Technology Industry Journalist

Smith said of the award on stage at the event, “thank you very much for the award and thanks to the people at my table for clapping for me.”
Smith won the category for his exclusive piece on Brisbane tech company Octopus Deploy’s first US purchase, his interview with Robyn Denholm, and his exclusive on Uber’s decision to stop its $105m Australian car division.
Smith’s win in the category was accompanied by his highly commended performance in the John Costello Best Business Technology Journalist award.
