Katrina Blowers transitions to new role at 7NEWS Brisbane

After four years at the helm of the 6 pm Queensland weekend news, presenter Katrina Blowers is embarking on a new chapter at 7NEWS Brisbane. She is moving from her current role to anchor the 4 pm weekday news on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday afternoons. This change is part of her decision to dedicate more time to her family.
Blowers shared the news with her LinkedIn connections, calling it the “biggest challenge” she has faced.
“It’s probably the biggest challenge facing everyone I know: how do you pursue a career whole-heartedly while still giving your soul to your family. I’m hoping this tweak will provide the balance I’ve been craving. I’ll keep you posted!”
Blowers is taking over the 4 pm news slot from Kendall Gilding, who stepped down from the role in December ...
