Journalist's House Demolished in Jammu; PDP, CPI(M) Voice Strong Objections

A Jammu Development Authority (JDA) team, accompanied by police, reportedly demolished journalist Arfaz Daing’s house in Narwal on November 27, 2025, triggering accusations of selective enforcement from political leaders and lawyers.
While officials confirmed the operation, Daing claimed he had not received any prior demolition notice.
Daing said this was the second time his home had been torn down. His earlier house in Bathindi was demolished, forcing him to move to his parents’ residence.
Describing the latest action as a “selective drive,” he questioned why only his four-decade-old house was targeted. He added that he had requested more time from the JDA team but was refused.
