Jodie Speers leaves Channel 7 to pursue law degree

Speers took to Instagram to announce her decision and reflected on the diverse experiences she gained during her tenure as a journalist covering federal parliament to reporting on crime scenes and red carpets.
“From a stint in Federal Parliament, another one in the courts, and everything from crime scenes to red carpets, bushfires to brain surgeries, every day was different. Sometimes sad, often stressful, at times hilarious or completely bizarre,” Speers wrote.
