Hyderabad Court grants bail to journalists in Telangana CM defamation case
By Staff Writer in Media News on Thursday, 20th March 2025 at 9:10pmA Hyderabad court has granted bail to YouTube journalists Revathi Pogadadanda and Tanvi Yadav, who were arrested on March 12 for allegedly airing defamatory content against Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy. They were released on Tuesday afternoon.
The court denied police custody and granted bail with two sureties of â¹25,000 each. As part of the conditions, they must surrender their passports and appear before the police twice a week for 90 days.
Pogadadanda and Yadav, associated with Pulse Digital News Network, were booked under Section 67 of the IT Act and multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including 111 (organised crime), 61(2) (criminal conspiracy), 353(2), and 352.
