Gillett departs 7.30 to take up new role at The Project

Gillett shared on LinkedIn that he is excited about the new chapter.
“This month, I’ll be finishing up at ABC 730, to become the new Series Producer of The Project in 2023,” he said.
Previous 7.30 anchor who has moved to The Australian Story, Leigh Sales has commented that she is looking forward to seeing his new path and working together again.
“You’re a star and we will miss you very much at the ABC,” she wrote.
During his time at 7.30, he has produced numerous specials, including Nicola Gobbo: Lawyer X, Australia’s drought crisis, the economy, Coronavirus, and most recently, the Medicare scandal.
