From freelancer to Good Food App producer

Melbourne-based journalist Emily Holgate has always known she wanted to write about food. After graduating from Melbourne University with a degree in media and communications, she cut her teeth as an intern at Broadsheet, where her passion for food journalism first took root.
While comfortable in her freelance career writing for several lifestyle publications, Emily couldn't resist applying when she spotted an opening at Good Food.
“I was very happy freelancing,” Holgate told Influencing, “and I was only applying for jobs that really appealed to me, that I was really passionate about, something that I would really want to do rather than just applying for everything for the sake of having a job.
“But when this job came up I had to jump at it.
