Delhi court summons three Congress leaders in journalist defamation case

The case relates to an allegedly edited video clip that was shared on social media.
The court said there is enough initial evidence to move ahead with the case under sections related to forgery and defamation. Judicial Magistrate Devanshi Janmeja passed the order after reviewing the material placed on record.
The issue began in June 2024, when claims were made that Sharma had used offensive language against Ragini Nayak during a live TV debate. Sharma denied this, saying the accusations were based on a tampered video that did not match the original broadcast.
