Dan Barrett appointed Mediaweek’s new editor

Mediaweek has announced Dan Barrett is the new editor following the redundancy of former Editor-in-Chief Emma Shepherd who had been appointed with responsibility for the day-to-day news agenda and editorial product for Mediaweek back in October.
The news on Barrett’s appointment was not surprisingly heralded by the publication in a story by the publication’s Head of Content, Frances Sheen.
Barrett, a seasoned media commentator and journalist, brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the Australian media landscape to the role, said Sheen.
This isn’t Barrett’s first run at Mediaweek – he held the role of Deputy Editor in 2015-16.
