AFR appoints new Managing Editor

Having worked as deputy editor and a former acting editor at The Sydney Morning Herald, CoMarriner joins the AFR with more than 20 years editing and reporting experience.
She also worked as a former editor of The Sun-Herald and in roles at The Telegraph and The Guardian in London.
Marriner joins the masthead after the resignation of Joanne Gray, who was the managing editor of the AFR for the past four years but recently moved to climate advisory firm Pollination.
As managing editor, Marriner will be responsible for the masthead’s budget, performance of the newsroom, subscribers growth and business development strategy.
