ABC News on the up as News.com.au slides

ABC News has gained 731,000 readers in a month, while News.com.au has shed over 400,000, according to the latest Ipsos Iris data which reveals ABC News is the country's most-read news site. It seems ABC Chair Kim Williams''s push for a focus on online news is paying off and certainly anyone familiair with the ABC's daily online news bulletins will have noticed the increase in hard-hitting and broader news coverage.
News.com has long been the top online news website leader so ABC's rise is significant.
ABC saw 12.48 million readers during January, a 6.2% rise from December. News.com.au dropped 3.4% to slide into second, with 11.76 million readers.
The ABC isn’t the only outlet to see a leap in readership. Daily Mail Australia’s audience grew 12.1%, to reach 8.65 million, ...
