ABC announces NSW Weekend News Presenters
By Neeraja Gopalakrishnan in Media News on Friday, 29th September 2023 at 4:00pmABC journalists Nakari Thorpe and Lydia Feng have been appointed as the Weekend Presenters on ABC NSW Weekend 7 pm News. They are replacing Jeremy Fernandez, now the main anchor of the NSW 7 PM News.
Feng is currently presenting Weekends, and Thorpe will join her in the role upon her return from maternity leave.
ABC Director of News, Justin Stevens expressed excitement over having Feng and Thorpe present the NSW news weekend bulletin, noting they would bring their “professionalism and dedication” to the role.
Feng shared her enthusiasm about becoming a permanent NSW 7 p.m. News Presenter.
