ORDYSS JOINS MSP FIRST FOCUS AS ENTERPRISE & GOVERNMENT SPECIALISTS

Sydney, NSW – National managed service provider First Focus today announces it has acquired Queensland-based ICT solutions specialist Ordyss. Effective from 1 January 2021, the purchase gives First Focus increased expertise in custom service desk solutions, strategic consulting, and recruitment services.
This is the second commercial acquisition undertaken by privately-owned First Focus in the 2020-21 financial year, following the purchase of Mitel Platinum and Telstra Partner, Flexnet.
First Focus CEO Ross Sardi explained that Ordyss would act as the group’s Government and Enterprise specialists, expanding the MSP's overall capacity to 220 IT professionals.
"Bringing the Ordyss team and services into the First Focus family lets us offer more customised support solutions and a deeper level of consulting, especially in the government and not-for-profit sectors," said Sardi.
"It also allows us to expand Ordyss' reach to become a truly national organisation, with a presence across every Australian state and New Zealand."
Sardi went on to say that personal values were crucial in the acquisition decision, stating that Ordyss is "closely aligned" with First Focus' goal to help others better use technology.
Ordyss founder Keith Lavelle said that the purchase would give Ordyss the backing it needed to grow, with access to a larger team's skillsets and services.

Lavelle explained he would continue working as the Head of Enterprise Accounts, while director Scott Jackson would transition to General Manager. The rest of the Ordyss management and technical teams would remain unchanged.
"We will continue to partner closely with our clients and partners to drive the best possible outcomes in 2021 and beyond," Lavelle stated.
Sardi added that both teams are working to “combine the best parts of First Focus with the best parts of Ordyss" behind the scenes.
"For example, we will shortly be commencing work extending Ordyss' ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 certifications to First Focus, while expanding our investment in automation and business intelligence into Ordyss, providing a tangible benefit to all existing clients."
