Interview: Tasmanian Anh Nguyen has her sight set on winning the national title of 2019 AgriFutures Rural Women’s Award in Canberra
Announcement posted by AgriFutures Australia 01 Aug 2019
Hello
With less than six weeks to go until the 2019 AgriFutures Rural Women’s Award recipient is announced, Tasmanian Finalist and potential smart farmer, Anh Nguyen, is preparing to head to Canberra next month to see if she can also scoop the national title.
Anh is available to talk about her work involving using her Westpac bursary to roll out a smart farming system using automatic controls and management retrofitted to current farming irrigation and control systems. This has the aim of freeing up labour, as the smart data analytics will help to use resources more efficiently and maximise productivity.
Ms Nguyen is confident her smart farming product, named Vine-AITM will change the way we farm and help to shape a much more sustainable future. She looks forward to using the AgriFutures™ Rural Women’s Award as a platform to showcase her approach to smart farming and sustainability, and is planning to release her smart farming products by mid-2020.
Please find attached further information about Anh and the AgriFutures Rural Women’s Award. Supporting high res and low res images are available to download via: https://spaces.hightail.com/space/e7IwttLgeZ.
I look forward to your feedback.
