Environmental Earth Sciences International announces new leadership, new focus

Environmental Earth Sciences International (EESI) has implemented a bold new strategy to repair and improve the environment by focusing on all types of degraded land. 

A new leadership team has been appointed to oversee the Group, led by incoming CEO Ryan Millar:

"Today, more than ever, we are aware of human impact on the earth. Over 200 years of industrialisation has caused soil contamination to be a widespread problem in Australia – at a significant detriment to the health of our people. As the earth becomes more fragile, adequately protecting it becomes ever-more challenging. EESI is meeting that challenge with a renewed focus on scientific research, development of new intellectual property and a digital strategy that is built around our customers. We will reduce the underlying risks associated with re-using contaminated land – removing harmful contaminants and cleaning up our living spaces."

EESI is adopting a three-pronged approach:

-       increasing the emphasis on innovation and IP, including through partnerships with tech companies both locally and overseas;

-       building the waste science capability to further increase bio-remediation capabilities – diverting contaminated soil away from landfill and making soil safe for building roads, parks and other amenities;

-       strengthening the contracting business to provide improvements of scale to clients in government and large businesses.

Each workstream will be led by a dedicated team, under the direction of new CEO Millar, together with founder Philip Mulvey and chairman Michael Healey.

Mulvey welcomes the team's new focus particularly commercializing our innovations in PFAS, Carbon sequestration, bioremediation and waste recycling. "I am proud to be part of an organisation with a higher purpose, which sustains and contributes to society and future generations."
