DC launches a new Product-on-Demand – DC POD – solution for backup, storage and archiving, delivered through its DC PODfactory service.
Sydney, Australia, 14 January 2014 - Distribution Central Pty Limited, a leader in technology distribution and channel services, has launched a new DC POD solution called RecoveryPOD, powered by CommVault, Fujitsu and NetApp.

This announcement closely follows CommVault being named a Leader in the Gartner 2013 Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Backup/Recovery Software for the third year in a row, testament to the focus that DC has on delivering technology-leading solutions to the channel.

Product-on-Demand (POD) solutions integrate best-of-breed technology components from DC’s leading technology vendors to produce a pre-defined architecture that solve contemporary business problems. RecoveryPOD is designed to address the core data challenges of modern business – backup, storage and archiving – by integrating CommVault’s Simpana 10, Fujitsu PRIMERGY servers and NetApp’s storage systems.

RecoveryPOD is the newest in an existing suite of DC POD solutions including SplunkPOD (integrating Splunk, Fujitsu and NetApp) and PerformancePOD (integrating Fujitsu and Riverbed), in addition to existing reference architectures such as FlexPod and V-Shape. All DC PODs are delivered through the DC PODfactory service, and are configured, validated, supported and asset managed through DC’s SaaS channel management platform and support services.

“Data is at the core of any business problem – how do I best store it, secure it, manage access to it, back it up and so on. Contemporary IT solutions need to deliver the best technology, cost-effectively and efficiently,” said Nick Verykios, Managing Director, Distribution Central.

“DC has developed a range of DC POD and CloudPOD solutions to enable our partners to meet these requirements, ensuring they deliver a solution and service that is relevant to their customer’s business needs.”

DC will be delivering a brief enablement webinar on RecoveryPOD open to all resellers on 21 January and 30 January 2014. Visit the training page on the SAN Systems website for more information and to register. http://www.sansystems.com.au/training.aspx
