Turbosoft Announces TTWin 4 Windows Terminal Emulator

Announcement posted by Turbosoft Pty Ltd 19 Dec 2011

Communications software specialist Turbosoft has announced the release of version 4 of it’s leading Windows Terminal Emulation product TTWin.
Turbosoft Director of Sales and Marketing, Mr Arthur Haddad said that demand for terminal emulation software remained strong.

”Turbosoft has been producing terminal emulation software for almost 25 years now, and in 2011 we’re finding that demand remains high - within the enterprise there‘s still a very strong requirement when it comes to connecting Windows based PCs to host systems.”

Turbosoft’s range of Terminal Emulation software caters for a variety of platforms including web based terminal emulation, embedded systems, handheld devices and smart phones. However the company’s flagship product for Windows desktops, TTWin, has been the mainstay of it’s range.

Version 3 of TTWin provided emulations for over 80 different terminals and numerous protocols from popular terminals such as the IBM 3270, 5250, Wyse and DEC VT series through to specialised terminals such as those produced by manufacturers like Stratus and Tandem.

“Terminal emulation is an established technology, but ensuring that your host connectivity product integrates well with modern Operating Systems and networks requires constant development. That’s what we’ve achieved with TTWin 4 - IPv6 support, the choice of 32 or 64bit versions, a fresh interface, updating of our Macro and scripting languages and more. We’re Windows 7 compatible and we’re looking forward to the release of Windows 8 in the future. “ said Mr Haddad.

“TTWin Version 4 is the culmination of a long and thorough development process - we think v[ersion] four represents a major milestone, not just for us but for Terminal Emulation software in general.”
