AgShows NSW has appointed long-serving team member Nicky Seeto as its new Executive Officer, bringing fresh energy and a strong people-first approach to the role.
Nicky has been part of AgShows NSW for almost a decade and is well-known to show societies across New South Wales for her calm leadership, friendly communication style, and genuine commitment to supporting volunteers.
"Working with our members and communities has always felt meaningful to me," Nicky said. "I value the relationships we've built across the state, and I'm excited for what's ahead."
With 189-member show societies across NSW, making AgShows NSW the largest state network in Australia, Nicky is focused on strengthening member value, supporting volunteers, and ensuring shows remain vibrant, relevant, and connected to their communities.
"Two things are front of mind," Nicky said. "Helping our shows stay strong for the future and backing the volunteers who make everything happen. Many committees are stretched, and our long-serving members hold incredible knowledge. We want to make sure that experience is shared, supported, and celebrated."
Under Nicky's leadership, AgShows NSW is sharpening its focus on practical, member-focused services.
This includes strengthening the organisation's insurance program as shows innovate and trial new activities, simplifying rules and compliance frameworks, and expanding access to training, leadership development, and conference opportunities, particularly for younger show members.
A key strength of AgShows NSW is its ability to provide a strong collective voice for show societies, and Nicky will continue championing members' interests at every level.
These priorities directly reflect AgShows NSW's vision to contribute to the fabric of communities and champion excellence in primary production and related activities.
Its purpose remains clear: to support members and promote excellence across pastoral, agricultural, horticultural, and industrial activities throughout NSW.
The AgShows NSW Conference, now held annually, has become a key space for idea-sharing and collaboration.
In 2026, members can look forward to even more opportunities to connect through new forums, webinars and a redesigned website that makes support and information easier to access than ever.
"It's all about making life easier for our members," Nicky said. "If we can take some of the load off and equip committees with the tools they need, then we're doing our job."
AgShows NSW President Jill Chapman said Nicky's leadership style and deep organisational knowledge make her the right choice to guide the organisation forward.
"Nicky's contributions over the past nine years have been outstanding," Jill said. "She has earned the trust and respect of colleagues and members alike. Her calm, thoughtful approach, combined with her energy and commitment, will help drive AgShows NSW forward with real momentum."
Nicky's message to members is simple: stay connected.
"Please call us - that's what we're here for," she said. "AgShows NSW exists for our members. Their passion keeps the show movement alive, and we're committed to supporting them every step of the way."
