Announcement posted by Invigorate PR 10 Jul 2025
Success Tutoring, one of Australia's fastest growing tutoring networks, has welcomed its youngest- ever franchise owner, Ishika Maharaj, who has opened the doors to the new Success Tutoring Wetherill Park centre, taking over the original Bossley Park location where her journey with the company first began.
Located at Suite 2, Level 1, Unit 11, 1345 The Horsley Drive, Wetherill Park NSW 2164, the Success Tutoring centre will continue the strong tradition of student-centred support and academic success under Ishika Maharaj's leadership.
"I opened the franchise because I've always wanted to have my own business in the tutoring space," Ms Maharaj said.
"I started as a student at Success Tutoring's Bossley Park Centre, with Michael Black himself, the founder and CEO of Success Tutoring, as my tutor. I later became a tutor and worked with the company for more than two years.
"Now I'm proud to take over the centre and re-launch it as Wetherill Park. It feels like the natural next step in a journey that's always felt meant to be."
Michael Black is a highly revered entrepreneur and business leader and the founder and CEO of Success Tutoring. The Success Tutoring team is seeing many children not only turn their grades and enjoyment of school around but also witnessing kids feeling better about themselves and experiencing an uplift in their whole demeanour.
At just 23 years old, Ishika Maharaj has studied a Bachelor of Economics at UNSW on a scholarship and was DUX of her graduating high school class at 19. Passionate about business and education, she is determined to grow her franchise and make a lasting difference in the lives of young learners.
"I love business and I love sharing knowledge," Ms Maharaj said.
"My goal is to successfully operate multiple centres and continue to positively impact students."
Michael Black said Ishika Maharaj's story is an inspiring example of what the franchise model is all about.
"Ishika represents everything we believe in at Success Tutoring - passion, commitment and a focus on empowering the next generation," Black said.
"She's gone from student, to tutor, to owner and we couldn't be prouder to support her as she takes this next step. So many people involved in the Success Tutoring ecosystem become franchise partners and this is a great testament to our system, people and results."
Outside of tutoring and university, Maharaj enjoys reading, fitness, nutrition and travel. She credits her parents, who have always worked in business and franchising, as key role models in shaping her entrepreneurial mindset.
"In my downtime, I love to train, spend time with family and friends and push myself out of my comfort zone," Ms Maharaj added.
"I believe a well-rounded and fulfilling life is key to personal growth and that's the energy I want to bring to my students too."
