Announcement posted by Melbourne Motor Show 27 Feb 2025
Innovative new renewable commercial vehicle marque Farizon will debut their all-electric SuperVan (SV) and the H9E Light Truck at the Melbourne Motor Show on 5-6 April at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre ahead of sales to the general public.
Drivers and businesses will be able to see these all-electric SuperVans and trucks up close at the Motor Show, allowing people to get hands on with the vehicles.
The SuperVans and H9E Light Truck were previewed to media earlier in February by local distributor Jameel Motors.
The Farizon SV will be available locally in three variants, all powered by an 83kWh battery. These include two low-roof Standard Wheel Base and Long Wheel Base models, and a LWB high-roof version.
In addition to being built for Australian conditions, one of the SVs' highlights is its charging and range capabilities. The entry level SWB model touts a 376km range (WLTP test cycle) and a 26 minute charge from 30% to 80% with Type 2 Fast Charging, or nine hours from 5% to 100% using standard 7kWh AC charging. This is facilitated by its 83kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, manufactured by Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., a leader in innovative energy technologies.
The SV boasts several unique innovations including a payload monitoring system, Vehicle to Load (V2L) system with AC power outlets, and 270° rear opening barn doors.
Innovation is embedded into the SV, as the SVs boast 30 safety features, including braking and driving assistance, weight monitoring, and a first-in-class 12.3" LCD touch-screen with 360-degree camera and Apple CarPlay, plus climate-controlled front seats.
H9E will also arrive in three variants: a 4.5-tonne truck with standard wheelbase and 100kWh battery, and a larger 8.0-tonne model with either SWB platform and 107kWh battery or a LWB variant with 162kWh battery.
Both vehicles have gained renown for their limitless modification ability for different commercial applications, including recreational vehicle conversions.
"Jameel Motors are excited to be showcasing Geely Farizon to a new audience at the Melbourne Motor Show, our first public display in Victoria and official entry into the Australian market," says Jameel Motors Australia General Manager, Charles Lin. "The fully electric SV cargo van and H9E truck set a new benchmark for comfort and safety in their respective segment. We look forward to helping commercial vehicle operators in their transition towards green."
Craig Phinn, Managing Director of the Melbourne Motor Show shares the enthusiasm for innovation in the light commercial vehicle space. "It's really exciting to see the next generation of commercial vehicles at the Show," he says. "We're celebrating all types of new vehicles here, especially as commercial vehicles are the backbone of business in Australia. People will be thoroughly impressed by what Farizon is doing when they see these vehicles in person for the first time."
The Farizon SuperVan and H9E Light Truck will be available for purchase in early April through dealers in Melbourne and Sydney.
