The Adelaide Lightning stun the Perth Lynx to keep finals hope alive

Game Summary

The Adelaide Lightning put out an impressive performance from start to finish against the second-placed Perth Lynx. It was a must-win game for Adelaide to stay in the hunt for finals. The Lynx did not make it easy, their players standing up at times to pressure the Lightning.

Adelaide was without Isobel Borlase for the majority of the match due to being in foul trouble, but despite losing a key player, they had others who stood up. Their captain, Steph Talbot and Issie Bourne led the scoring with 21 points each. While Brianna Turner was important with 15 rebounds and 8 assists.

The Lynx still put out a decent performance, Anneli Maley finished with a double-double, 11 points and 14 rebounds. Three other players also scored in double digits; Amy Atwell (18 points), Miela Sowah (12 points) and Laeticia Amihere (11 points). However, it was the dominant final quarter from Adelaide to seal the deal tonight.
