Townsville Fire remain on the winners list, defeating the Bendigo Spirit

Summary 

Townsville Fire have prevailed over Bendigo Spirit in round 10 of the WNBL season, ending with a final score of 86-72. Both teams came in hungry for a win, wanting to prove their competitiveness.

The first half saw both teams come out fighting in a tight arm wrestle. The Fire were able to create and maintain a small lead throughout the first half, but Bendigo were hot on their tails, finishing at half time with a score of 38-40.

Both teams came out strong once again in the second half. The third term saw the Fire create a 9 point lead, with the help of Steph Reid's defensive efforts, accumulating 3 steals by the end of the third quarter. The Spirit were able to close the gap in the beginning of the fourth quarter. However the Fire proved too dominant on the night, creating a game high 14 point lead and taking home the win.
