TechForGood, Australia’s first and only full stack technology business that is also a social enterprise, proudly announces its official launch. As a purpose-driven Social Enterprise, TechForGood aims to utilise technology procurement and the profits generated therein, to support a diverse range of incredible charities dedicated to addressing the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In a groundbreaking commitment, TechForGood pledges to contribute a remarkable 50% of its profits to these inspiring charities.
The convergence of technology and social and environmental impact lies at the heart of TechForGood's mission. By harnessing the profits generated in the acquisition of technology, the company aims to create a meaningful and lasting difference in the world. Recognising the pressing need for sustainable solutions, TechForGood has positioned itself as a trailblazer, championing the SDGs as a framework to guide their philanthropic efforts.
"Our purpose at TechForGood goes beyond profit," said Co-Founder Stella Heesom. "We firmly believe in the potential of technology to drive positive change and transform lives. By harnessing this potential, we can make a significant impact on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Our commitment to donating 50% of our profits ensures that we create a ripple effect of change, empowering charities and amplifying their impact. Every time a customer buys tech on our website they will be given the choice of which SDG they would like to support, and 50% of the profit from that transaction will go directly to a charity that aligns to the SDG.”
TechForGood's unique model allows businesses to support charitable causes while fulfilling their technology needs, whilst paying no more for technology than they would have originally. TechForGood offers a comprehensive range of technology products such as laptops, smart phones, tablets & PC’s through to server, networking and datacentre infrastructure as well as supporting software and licensing.
The company's support will encompass a wide array of charitable organisations tackling the SDGs, including initiatives focused on poverty alleviation, hunger, quality education, clean energy, gender equality, the climate and more. TechForGood's aim is to create a collective force for good, uniting businesses and charities in their pursuit of a more sustainable and equitable future.
To celebrate its launch, TechForGood has already started a social media campaign partnered with & promoting several prominent charities and social enterprises – including OzHarvest, Children’s Ground, Friends With Dignity, The Australian Youth Climate Coalition and The Queensland Social Enterprise Council, to name a few. These organisations are making remarkable strides in addressing critical global challenges and have been carefully selected for their exceptional dedication and impact.
TechForGood invites businesses across Australia to join their movement and make a lasting difference. By choosing TechForGood as their technology partner, customers can directly contribute to supporting vital social and environmental causes, ultimately shaping a brighter future for all.
