Malolo Island Resort Wins Best Fiji Island Resort for Families in the Out And About With Kids Magazine Annual Readers Choice Awards 2022

Announcement posted by Impressions Marketing Communications 01 Dec 2022

Australia’s renowned family travel magazine, Out & About with Kids, (OAWK) announced the results of its annual Readers Choice Awards 2022, with winners and finalists named in 48 categories, registering more than 8,000 votes.   The Awards received nominations from well-travelled families around Australia for the best local and international family resorts, holiday parks, family attractions, ski resorts, overall destinations, cruises and road trips.   Malolo is thrilled to be the shining star of the Fiji Islands.

Ahura Resorts Managing Director Tony Whitton said, “We are delighted and honoured to win this award again, and to be recognised by the OAWK readers and our past guests.   As a 100% Fijian owned resort, the Malolo team takes particular pride in ensuring all guests and families experience the magic of Malolo and the “real” Fiji in their own unique and special way.  And, in our first year of reopening after the 2 year Pandemic closure, this accolade is even more special.”

Malolo Island Resort is located in Fiji’s Mamanuca archipelago just 25km/16m west of Nadi International Airport and is accessible by three-times daily fast catamaran or chartered water taxis running 24/7.   This 100% Fijian family-owned resort has been a long-time favourite for families and couples alike, and over the years has welcomed back tens of thousands of return visitors.

One of Malolo’s most outstanding and unique experiences is the award-winning Kids Club program. Free for children 4-12 years old, the daily-changing program of activities takes them on an exciting journey through the local Malolo Island Fijian culture with authentic and tactile experiences, where the staff and local villagers share their rich history and culture through song, dance, food, environment, stories and adventures.

An intimate, colonial, stylish resort, it comprises just nine acres of the 2000 acre island and consists of only 46 Bures - all with ocean views, three dining venues, spa, entertainment lounges for adults and teenagers, two pools – including one for families and one for adults only with a swim-up pool bar, cabana daybed and al fresco lounge area, plus a myriad of activities including, snorkelling, diving, island hopping and dolphin spotting.
