Australian Consultant Inducted into Million Dollar Consulting® Hall of Fame

Alan Weiss, PhD has announced the latest inductees into the Million Dollar Consulting Hall of Fame. The criteria are:

• Serving as an exemplar to others in the profession.
• The highest levels of integrity, ethics and accountability.
• Revenue and profit achievement and growth.
• Contributions of intellectual capital to the profession.
• Continual, challenging, personal and professional development.
• Risk taking and resilience.

The Hall of Fame was begun in 2006 and contains over 40 members. Alan Weiss, author of Million Dollar Consulting and over 60 other books in 15 languages and considered “the rock star of consulting,” said that, “This year’s inductees are especially notable because of their superb work for client amidst disruption and turmoil, and their adjustment to highly effective remote work. This year’s inductees are from the US, Canada, Thailand, and Australia. 

Two of the awards were made recently in Brisbane in front of a capacity audience for Dr. Weiss’s workshops, which included two Australian consultants, Leanne Hughes and Paula McCarthy.

 Leanne Hughes is an Australian businesswoman, keynote speaker, and high-performance business consultant. She combines her experience in marketing, with her education (and obsession) with group dynamics and psychology, to help leaders create engaging everyday experiences – that are so contagious they connect and impact across teams and borders.

Clients work with Leanne for her energy and unique approaches that provide cut-through strategies for embarking on change initiatives, or to shift performance or culture to achieve next-level success.

Based in Brisbane, Leanne has worked across a variety of industries including construction, mining, health, and vocational education and training; serving clients from India to Hong Kong, and Singapore to Papua New Guinea. In 2021, Leanne was the winner of the Asia Pacific Learning Impact awards for Learning Professional of the Year. She is the host of both the First Time Facilitator and Leanne Hughes’ Work and Live Large podcasts. She believes you need only two evangelists to change the world. 

Paula McCarthy is the founder of Working Dynamics. She is an inventive strategist, consultant, coach, and advisor who inspires and equips clients – leaders and their organizations – to continually innovate, disrupt, evolve, and excel. For more than 20 years, she has led projects in the Asia–Pacific region, helping creative, commercial, government, and not-for-profit organizations (from start-ups to established) rapidly amplify their performance and business results. Client results extend across strategy formulation and execution, business and process innovation, leadership development, and culture strengthening. Pre-covid and in response to the pandemic, she advises clients in the delivery of smart strategies for hybrid workplaces. Paula is a passionate yoga practitioner and bushwalker and is currently working on her first book about innovating with strategy.
