In celebration of the Australian Water Association’s (AWA) “National Water Week” this week, Australia's first water-responsible beauty brand, Conserving Beauty is proud to announce they are the first Australian beauty brand to be welcomed as a member.
The AWA is Australia’s leading professional network with a community of almost 5,000 individual and 500 corporate members, driving a sustainable water future through education, engagement, and connection.
Conserving Beauty Founder, 28 year-old Melbournite Natassia Nicolao, who is also a finalist in the AWA’s VIC Young Water Professional of The Year said she was honoured to be the first beauty brand invited to join the prestigious association.
“At Conserving Beauty, we live and breathe water conservation, so we are thrilled to be a part of the Australian Water Association community to continue to drive awareness and conversation about the global water crisis,” said Nicolao.
“To celebrate National Water Week we are hosting our first Conscious Conversation event with an esteemed panel of thought leaders including
Laura Wells and Barbie-Lee Kirby to talk about the future of water and how we as a community can help to create a better, more responsible future for our planet.”
What is National Water Week?
National Water Week runs from the 17th to the 23rd of October 2022. It is the Australian Water Association’s (AWA’s) annual event dedicated to building awareness of the value of water in Australia.
National Water Week aims to inspire communities and organisations to work together on water issues and future fixes. It reminds everyone that water must be used wisely – and celebrates water innovation and achievements supporting Australia's sustainable future.
Why is Water Week important?
Australia is the world’s driest inhabited continent, yet is one of the highest users of water per person. We live in an uncertain climate – it’s important to use water wisely so we have a secure source of drinking water for many years to come.
Conserving Beauty is not only Australia's first water-responsible beauty brand, but is constantly making strides to reduce their environmental impact. In addition to developing waterless products, their world-first InstaMelt Sheet Masks and Wipes have been repackaged in home compostable sachets, making the entire product and packaging water, waste and plastic free.
