On Friday night, Midnight Health was named Brisbane Start Up of the Year at the Business News Australia, Brisbane Young Entrepreneur Awards among Brisbane's top business leaders aged under 40, who have built a thriving business.

Collectively, the Brisbane Young Entrepreneur finalists boast a combined annual turnover of $570 million - around double what it was four years ago - and have created jobs for nearly 3,000 people.

According to Business News Australia, this year almost one in every five nominees founded their business in 2021 or later, representing a six percentage point increase on the share of companies last year.

Midnight Health was founded in late 2020 by Brisbane entrepreneurs Nic Blair and Matt Anderson. Its mission is to enhance patient outcomes through technology by consolidating the fragmented health industry, simplifying experiences and improving accessibility.

Founder and CEO of Midnight Health, Nic Blair said he is honoured to have been selected as the winner among the best startup talent in Brisbane.

“This award is a credit to my co-founder Matt and the team at Midnight Health, for what we've managed to achieve together in such a short timeframe,” said Nic.

“The awards were a great opportunity to take our team out to celebrate, after all, they are the reason we have made it this far!”

Nic is no stranger to the spotlight, having won the Marketing Award in 2019 for his previous business venture, he is a pivotal member of the Young Entrepreneur Community.

Midnight Health is the first to be in the running for the Australian Start Up of the Year category whose winners will be announced when the nationwide selection process is finalised at the National awards on Saturday, 26 November 2022 at the JW Marriott on the Gold Coast.
