Connecting construction for better builds—Matrak integrates with Procore to bring materials tracking and project management together
Announcement posted by Matrak 24 May 2022
Construction management platform powerhouse Procore has partnered with Australian construction startup Matrak to integrate material tracking with construction management in the APAC region for the first time.
With over 700,000 materials tracked in Matrak, the new integration connects users’ Matrak and Procore Technologies accounts together, enabling status updates from Matrak to automatically populate into their Procore Site Diary.
The integration, exclusive to Matrak and Procore customers, helps construction companies save ample time and reduce costs by gaining better visibility into material and delivery status off-site. Users can also easily see the material’s location in the supply chain, as well as schedule on-site activities to help ensure projects are completed on time.
Matrak Chief Technology Officer, Brett Hodgkins, says “The partnership between Matrak and Procore was forged so both of our customers can benefit from supply chain transparency. Through transparency comes clarity, empowering everyone onsite to know exactly where materials are and what activities need to be scheduled next. ”
The integration effectively helps Procore customers unify their tech ecosystem, which enables them to:
- Gain better visibility into material and delivery status off-site
- Show the materials inside their delivery, including the levels where each material is to be installed
- View the contents of a delivery on Matrak's interactive floorplan or elevation drawing by following a link to Matrak in their delivery log
- Ability to call up materials only when they need them on site
Procore’s VP, Global Partnerships & Alliances, Kris Lengieza says “We are so excited to be working with Matrak to deliver a missing piece in connecting global construction. This integration helps ensure no more second-guessing or double handling between two software, improving communications across the entire supply chain as customers can refer to a single source of truth.”
The construction industry has been hit hard by COVID-19 and global supply chain delays. The new integration between Procore and Matrak is not only a positive step forward for the industry but exemplary of what can be achieved when construction businesses collaborate and work together to lift each other up.
With new projects and innovations being planned for 2022 at Matrak, the new partnership with Procore is the first of many integration initiatives by the Australian startup to support and connect the global construction sector.
