Cadence and Co chose SNAP-LINE 45® steel roofing for its competition winning design for the Charlotte Park residential / acreage property.
The prize includes $5,000 and the design will feature in the COLORBOND® steel national magazine.
Cadence & Co designed a bespoke large residential home in keeping with the rolling hillside acreage site in Terrey Hills, NSW and the expansive vistas across native forest to the lights of Sydney. The spacious family home features soaring ceilings, luxury finishes and traditional craftsmanship throughout.
With an expansive area of roof, the choice of roof construction, material and style was an important factor in creating a strong link between the home and the surrounding land.
Cadence & Co Partner and Design Principal, Michael Kilkeary stated that, “With its steep pitch and multiple gable forms, we wanted a roofing material that was simple in its lines, but which had a scale to match the site.”
Cadence and Co viewed SNAP-LINE 45® as the perfect roofing material for their requirements. The SNAP-LINE 45® profile features well-defined 45mm high ribs with a wide flat pan, and suits roof, wall cladding or gable applications.
The prominent ribs can be laid horizontally, vertically or diagonally and SNAP-LINE 45® is suitable for roof pitches as low as 1°. It’s these strongly defined features that made SNAP-LINE 45® the obvious choice for this build.
