Offering therapies from Ballet and Martial Arts to Psychology and Dietetics, Active Eight is launching Brisbane’s most exciting paediatric therapy and group program offering with an Open Day on April 8.
Announcement posted by Active Eight 23 Mar 2022
What started as one family’s dream to see their little girl with cerebral palsy learn to dance, has evolved into one of Australia’s most innovative paediatric therapy and group program offerings. Active Eight is about to launch a brand new Hub - and the community needs to get excited.
Active Eight brings together evidence-based practice with a holistic dose of inclusive extra-curricular opportunities. This one-stop shop is a welcome relief for families who, for years, have been driving all over town to receive various supports. This provides a valuable hub for the community and local parents who no longer have to struggle to find a place in traditional sports and recreational clubs or suffer from disjointed therapeutic journeys. Active Eight not only provides services to kids and teens with NDIS funding, but to anyone seeking some additional support for their young one who isn’t meeting their typical age appropriate milestones.
With the final homely touches now in place, Active Eight’s passionate and enthusiastic team are excited to open the doors of their newly constructed 1,000 sqm hub to the local community with a fun and festive open day launch on April 8.
The event will be held at the new Hub on the Ground Floor, 67 High Street in Toowong. Following a VIP event and ribbon cutting ceremony from 12pm, the event will open to the public from 1pm to 4pm. There will be a range of exciting activities and events for families including live performances from Active Eight’s very own dance and cheerleading troupes, arts and craft workshops, and tennis and play warrior demonstrations. Active Eight goodie bags and free tea and coffee will be provided as part of the celebrations.
The High Street Hub launch event is sure to inspire families, referring healthcare and NDIS professionals as they experience a year at Active Eight in a day.
“We are thrilled to be launching our High Street Hub”, states Active Eight CEO Zachary Fook. ‘In opening our doors for all to come and experience what’s on offer we hope to inspire a new standard of paediatric services here in Brisbane. If the outcome of the launch event is that even one family finds their tribe at Active Eight, then the day will be an absolute success!”
Throughout a high demand period of growth and success, Active Eight retains a core focus of serving the members of their paediatric intervention services with care and most importantly - creating a playful and welcoming environment for all. Active Eight's holistic and multi-disciplinary offerings encompass six therapy disciplines, 40+ weekly inclusive programs and is made possible by 50+ dedicated team members.
