Clayton Watson – best known for his role as ‘The Kid’ in sci-fi epics Matrix Reloaded & Matrix Revolutions in which he starred opposite Hollywood heavyweights Keanu Reeves and Laurence Fishbourne will be guest of honour at the sold out charity RED CARPET SCREENING OF THE MATRIX RESURRECTIONS at United Cinemas Opera Quays near the Sydney Opera House on Wednesday 29th December 2021. 7.15pm RED CARPET. 8PM Screening including Q and A with Clay Watson hosted by The Edge radio star DJ Helena Ellis. Funds raised on the night in aid of The Salvation Army on behalf of The Rotary Club of Sydney Cove.

ABOUT CLAYTON WATSON Watson broke through playing the role of Kid next to Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne, and Carrie-Anne Moss in The Matrix Reloaded, The Matrix Revolutions, and the short film "Kid's Story" in The Animatrix. He reprised his role for The Matrix Online, and was nominated for Best Newcomer at the American Sci-Fi Awards. He won an AFI for his role in Always Greener and has appeared on shows such as Blue Heelers, Neighbours and Young Rock, as well as in the Kerry Packer biopic ‘Howzat’. Watson has a swathe of movies in the pipeline – The Cost, Dishonest Bunch, Irrational, and Kane shooting in QLD next month with Jake Ryan and Jeremy Lyndsay Taylor. Clay can’t reveal whether he will reprise his role in the latest Matrix release on Boxing Day 2021 due to confidentiality. But the award-winning, acclaimed actor is happy to discuss his return to the big screen after many years out of the spotlight raising a family and running Daylesford Wine Tours with wife Renai in country Victoria. “I’ve loved starting our wine tour business and whilst many productions have been halted or postponed during Covid, I felt lucky to have another secure income stream when many in the industry were having to do it quite tough,” he said.
