One of Triple M’s seasoned presenters, Phil “Ugly Phil” O’Neil, has stepped down and is leaving Australia.
Triple M content boss Mike Fitzpatrick said Ugly Phil has decided to return home to the UK and work on a personal project.
O’Neil has been in Australia for almost 30 years, with his service record comprising runs at SEA FM, and Today Network, before joining Triple M to do the syndicated afternoon show and My Generation.
“Phil is a consummate professional and an amazing broadcaster and we’ll be sad to see the back of his bald head. Please join me in thanking Phil for his great work and congratulating him on his new project. A replacement for Triple M Afternoons and My Generation will be announced soon,” said Fitzpatrick.
