The Herd Agency acquired by Publicis Communications

By Craig Daveson in Marcoms News on
Publicis Communications has announced the purchase of The Herd Agency today, which includes major comms practices N2N Communications, Touch Creative and Fuel Communications.

As part of the acquisition, The Herd Agency will now be known a Herd MSL and joins Publicis Group’s network of over 3,100 staff in more than 100 offices worldwide.

MSL is the strategic communications and engagement group of Publicis, with the Herd MSL acquisition serving as a launch for the brand in Australia.

“This is an incredibly exciting time for our agency and our industry.” said Herd Agency founder Jamie Verco.

“As part of Publicis Communications, we have an outstanding opportunity to combine our strength in public relations and communications with one of the world’s global creative leaders.

“Our growth has been driven by our capacity to respond to the changing needs of the market with creativity and agility. What excites us most is our cultural fit and shared vision to deliver world-class integrated campaigns for diverse and ambitious brands.”

Publicis Communications ANZ CEO Michael Rebelo said that the acquisition will allow his company to offer fully integrated PR services in the ANZ region.

“It couldn’t be timelier to expand our capabilities and award-winning talent base in ANZ. We’re optimistic about the new possibilities and opportunities this will bring to our respective clients,” said Rebelo

MSL global CEO Guillaume Herbette added that he is thrilled to bring the MSL brand to Australia as part of the acquisition.

“Our outstanding new colleagues will fit right into our diverse network, as we together strive to build influence and deliver impact for our clients,” said Herbette.
