Stoykov joins Agent99 roster

Agent 99 logoPR agency Agent99 has signed on noted financial maven Vanessa Stoykov as a new client.
Stoykov carries with her years of experience in the wealth-generation circuit, having founded the Evolution Media Group and No More Practice Education, which produces training videos for financial services professionals. Stoykov was signed following a competitive pitch.
Under the new partnership, Agent99 will work to leverage new research from Griffith University as well as launch Stoykov’s “Learn from the Money Masters – The Investment Series,” a new Channel Nine program. Agent99 will also be in charge of branding for Stoykov, including launching a new website at

Red Agency’s foothold in the creative production game has been boosted with a new department called the Village Boulevard.

Village Boulevard is primarily geared towards graphic design, photo and video coverage, event management, and digital/social production, among others. Aside from its own assignments, the 20-strong outfit will also provide support for Havas Village’s other activities.

Publicis lands international Mercedes-Benz gig

PR conglomerate Publicis Groupe is now the global communications provider of automotive powerhouse Mercedes-Benz.

The agency landed the account after six months’ pitching to the carmarker, during which WPP and Omnicom submitted their own ideas for the brand.

Under the new partnership, Mercedes-Benz’s PR dealings in Australia will be under Publicis’ aegis while Saatchi and Saatchi will take care of other creative materials. A new Publicis agency office, Publicis Emil, will be opened in Berlin with current group COO for Europe and Latin America Justin Billingsley in charge. However, Publicis will not handle market PR work for Mercedes-Benz in the US, Germany, and China – other creative agencies are handling the tasks in all three countries.

Seasoned journalist Mark Fenton-Jones has started work at PR agency Taurus Marketing.

Pollack starts FCR managership

Michael Pollack has begun a new odyssey as content manager at business communications firm Financial and Corporate Relations (FCR).

He joined up with the company last month after finishing over four and a half years of service at professional continuing education company Kaplan, where he was a senior writer and producer. Financial content is old hat to Pollack, as he had handled futures investments at Tate and Lyle and the Sydney Futures Exchange, and was a senior production editor at Citi.

PPR hires new AU/NZ regional corporate chief

Communications firm PPR has signed on industry veteran John Rynehart as its new corporate director for the AU/NZ region.

Rynehart comes over from Four Communications Middle East, where he recently stepped down as deputy managing director. An accomplished journalist, he also has over 20 years’ experience in communication strategy, covering companies in sectors such as healthcare, aviation, and sports events, among others.

Rynehart will be in charge of PPR’s six offices in Australia and New Zealand from the PPR office in Melbourne.
