SEN buys 2CH
By Jonas Lopez in Media News on Friday, 05th June 2020 at 4:29pmPacific Star Network/Crocmedia’s Sports Entertainment Network (SEN) has officially acquired Sydney station 2CH 1170.
The company stated in an ASX notice that it paid Oceania Capital Partners $11.2m for all the stock in the station’s parent firm EON Broadcasting and the associated licences. EON will have in return ten million shares in the Pacific Star Network.
The move is the first act of SEN’s Sydney push, as it is also securing 1539AM as the third SENTrack station after 1575AM Wollongong and 801AM Gosford. SENTrack Sydney will have a local breakfast show hosted by NRL veterans Joel Caine and Jimmy Smith.
Former SCA/ARN executive Simon Dennis is also overseeing the push as SEN’s new group commercial director for NSW.
