Reports ABC set to axe Q&A amid job loses across the broadcaster

John Buckley at Capital Brief was first to report the ABC has cancelled the long-running weekly news panel show Q+A. The show has aired 598 episodes across 17 seasons of the show.
And this morning that's been followed up by Lamestream's Scott Mitchell who reports that on Tuesday afternoon, ABC staff received notice they would be having one-on-one meetings with managers today – with some instructed to meet with senior staff they had never previously interacted with.
Lamestream understands those impacted include staff in units such as Indigenous, Sport, Arts and Radio National – all units that sit in either the content division or audio division, which have already been restructured relatively recently.
