Nine tweaks QLD regional news shows

By Jonas Lopez in Media News on
Nine Network has finished setting up a regional news service staging out of the studios in Brisbane, Mediaweek reported today.

Under the setup, Jonathan Uptin and Samantha Headwood will present eight regional bulletins at 6pm AEST weeknights starting this week. The content will still be sourced from the reporters present in the regions.

Paul Taylor will be in charge of sports coverage and Nicole Rowles will work the weather reports.

Before Uptin started on the new show, he made a guest appearance on the farewell edition of Nine News Darwin’s local production last Friday. The show is one of 16 regional services created as part of Nine’s news and public affairs revamp.
