News Corp Australia prepares new digital titles

News Corp Australia national community masthead network editor John McGourty said the new titles will cater to community needs for highly relatable content for their areas.
“Hyperlocal journalism is the engine room of News Corp’s subscription business, close to 50 per cent of our subscriptions come from hyperlocal content, it’s content that readers can’t get anywhere else,” he said.
The move follows the corporation’s transfer of 76 community/regional newspapers to online editions or had their content seconded to the websites of metro dailies.
