Media veterans honoured in 2025 King’s Birthday List
By staff writer in Media News on Monday, 09th June 2025 at 6:24pmThis year’s King’s Birthday Honours have recognised several influential figures from Australia’s media and broadcasting industry for their contributions to journalism, literature, arts and public life, according to Adnews.
Phillip Adams, former host of Late Night Live on ABC RN, was named a Companion of the Order of Australia (AC), the country’s highest civilian honour. Already a National Living Treasure and an inductee into the Australian Media Hall of Fame, Adams was commended for “outstanding service to media, journalism, the arts, and cultural leadership.”
John Coetzee was awarded the AC for contributions to literature, education and animal welfare.
