Josh Martin has been appointed to SBS’ television and online content division as a commissioning editor for entertainment and food as reported by TVTonight this week.
Martin’s duties primarily lie with the Unscripted section under John Godfrey when he starts work on October 9, 2017. The group will produce food and entertainment shows such as Filthy Rich & Homeless and First Contact. He will also manage the production of materials to be broadcast on TV and online. Martin, who joins SBS from an executive producer job in Essential Media, is no stranger to the network, having directed and produced shows such as Gourmet Farmer and Shane Delia’s Spice Journey.
“I am delighted to welcome Josh to SBS. Josh’s passion and strong track record of producing engaging and entertaining content will be a great addition to SBS’s non-scripted team as we continue to tell innovative and ground-breaking stories that reflect our diverse world,” said SBS TV and online content director Marshall Heald.
“SBS tells stories that no one else does and I’m thrilled to be part of such a unique and passionate network. I’m looking forward to commissioning shows that will entertain and inspire all Australians to celebrate our diverse world,” Martin added.
