Lizzies 2013 finalists announced

By MediaConnect in Media News on

MediaConnect can formally announce the finalists for this year’s Microsoft IT Journalism Awards, which is being held in Sydney on May 10.

Highlights include the most entrants ever for a Lizzies award, with Best Gaming Journalist garnering 34 entries in total.

The awards are sponsored this year by Microsoft, Watterson Marketing Communications, Epson, Netsuite, NEC and Optus - and we thank them for their extraordinary support.

“Once more, there has been an increase on last year’s record number of entries, so it’s a very competitive year,” said MediaConnect sales director, Mike Woodcock. “We are also delighted to see a strong number of entries into the two new categories introduced - Best Telco Journalist and Best Independent Media.”

MediaConnect CEO, Phil Sim, added: “Our judges had to consider more entries than ever before, so I’d like to thank all who gave their time and have made the Awards possible. Indeed, the entire ITJourno community has once again shown such enthusiasm and support for the Awards, which continue to grow year-on-year.”

You can still book tickets to the event, which is being held at the Crystal Palace, Luna Park, Sydney.

Finalists are announced only for all individual/journalist categories.
