Linton Besser to host ABC’s Media Watch from 2025

Linton Besser, an award-winning investigative journalist, will become the next host of ABC’s Media Watch starting in 2025 an ABC media release stated.
A former foreign correspondent, Besser has reported for Four Corners, Foreign Correspondent, and 7.30, and has contributed to The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age, and The Bulletin. He has won four Walkley Awards, two Kennedy Awards, and a George Munster Award, with his work leading to public inquiries, a Royal Commission, and criminal prosecutions.
Besser succeeds Paul Barry, who is stepping down after the 2024 season. He joins Media Watch at a time when the media landscape is more fragmented and tech-driven, and will work alongside new executive producer Mario Christodoulou.
