Prasar Bharati invites feature film and programme proposals

Prasar Bharati has invited applications from rights owner companies, partnership firms, proprietary firms, and producers to source feature films on license fee/royalty for its digital and linear platforms.  The pubcaster is sourcing 50 feature films as per the requirement for the launch of the OTT platform and a weekly drop until the end of the current financial year. The telecast/streaming schedule and platform will be decided after the completion of the sourcing process based on the category, period, and territory of rights acquired for the feature films for different platforms.  Prasar Bharati issued the notice on September 24, and the last date for submission of applications is October 20.  The applications will be processed on a ‘first come, first serve basis’ from the date of notification, in accordance with Prasar Bharati's content requirements and the merit of the proposals as per the Content Sourcing Policy.  According to Prasar Bharati, these feature films can be

With the second phase of polling in Jammu and Kashmir turning out to be peaceful recording a 57 per cent turnout, Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar and his team deserve applause. Peerzada Ashiq of The Hindu noted that "enthusiastic voters formed long queues early in the morning at most polling booths across the 26 constituencies." St Kilda FC legend Nick Riewoldt is set to join Seven's AFL coverage for the 2025 season, according to a media release from the network. The six-time Trevor Barker Award winner and 336-game veteran will play a key role in Seven’s weekly match broadcasts and mid-week programming. Since retiring in 2017, Riewoldt has built a reputation as a knowledgeable and passionate AFL commentator. Tim Lordan is embarking on a new chapter after concluding his role as Afternoons host and assistant content director at Perth’s Mix 94.5, according to Radio Today.  With a career in commercial radio spanning over 25 years, Lordan previously served as operations and morning announcer at Triple M Adelaide, where he anchored the Saturday morning sports show, Dead Set Legends, and was assistant program director for Brisbane’s Nova 106.9. He spent 12 of his 15 years at SCA in his hometown Perth. Reflecting on his journey, Lordan said, “It’s been an amazing ride, doing every content role imaginable—from workday jock and breakfast anchor to music director and assistant content director.” Currently, he is taking a break and extending his European holiday while considering his next adventure.
