Kate de Brito appointed editor-in-chief of news.com.au

She replaces Daniel Sankey, who has completed a two-and-a-half year tenure in the role.
Sankey has shifted to a new remit in which he will identify and develop opportunities for audience and commercial growth in digital sport and wagering information. Sankey starts his new role in December and further details will be announced shortly.
News Corp Australasia executive chairman Michael Miller remarked in a statement that de Brito’s digital news credentials will evolve news.com.au to greater growth.
