Indian journalist Deepak Tiwari represents country at regional GIJN meet

India’s presence at the regional Global Investigative Journalism Network (GIJN) conference in Malaysia was marked by senior journalist Deepak Tiwari, former Vice-Chancellor of Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication, Bhopal. Tiwari addressed the gathering, making it a moment of pride for Madhya Pradesh as India played a central role in shaping a new cross-border journalism initiative.
After nearly a decade of discussions at GIJN’s global conferences, journalists from South Asian nations have formally agreed to establish a regional collaboration platform. More than fifty journalists convened in Malaysia to launch the “South Asia Collective,” designed to strengthen cooperation and coordination across borders.
