Emily Taylor appointed editor at InStyle, editorial resignations at Australian Traveller and NW

Taylor (pictured) joins InStyle from London, where she most recently worked across print, digital and social media for UK fashion, beauty and lifestyle retail brands including John Lewis, Marks & Spencer, and Net-A-Porter.
The appointment comes following Galliott’s recent appointment to custom publisher Medium Rare, where she will edit Qantas’ print and digital publications.
Taylor has previously worked at Pacific Magazines in the role of beauty editor for Marie Claire, beauty director, and then as associate editor across the magazine before her departure in 2012.

1) How did you get started in journalism?
I manifested it, and it worked! It all began with a dream in Class 7 when I knew I wanted to be part of the news industry, specifically television. As I researched more, I discovered the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) in Class 10. After completing my Class 12 with a Commerce background, I initially aimed for a mass communication college but ended up pursuing a B.Com degree instead. NBF and TJRA flag journalists’ safety following recent attack

Several journalists’ associations, including the News Broadcasters Federation and the Telangana Journalist Reporter Association, have condemned veteran Telugu actor and former Rajya Sabha member Mohan Babu's recent attack on a vernacular news journalist in Jalpally, Hyderabad.
M Ranjith Kumar, a senior correspondent at TV9, was allegedly attacked by Mohan Babu using a microphone. The incident occurred when a group of journalists reached actor Mohan Babu's residence to cover an ongoing family feud. Ranjith sustained a severe head injury and was rushed to a hospital at Shamshabad following the assault and verbal abuse hurled at the journalist. A criminal case has been filed against the actor following a complaint.
