Daily Liberal ceases weekday newspaper

Dubbo's daily newspaper, The Daily Liberal, will cease its weekday editions from August 24, cutting back to an "expanded" weekend edition, printed on Saturday.
The Australian Community Media newspaper has printed since 1874, and ACM managing director Tony Kendall confirmed there would be job losses and put the decision down to changing news consumption habits and financial pressures.
"With global tech giant Meta’s deeply troubling decision to withdraw its financial support for the providers of credible news and information in Australia and rising production and distribution costs for the newspaper hitting us hard, we need to act decisively to reshape our products and the way we work."
