Corbett to lead Mamamia podcasts

By Jonas Lopez in Media News on
The Mamamia Podcast Network now has Podschool founder Rachel Corbett at the helm.

Corbett brings with her several years’ of experience developed at the likes of Hit 107 Sydney and Hit 929. Her work at Podschool will also continue alongside her new role at Mamamia.

“Women’s voices and women’s stories are still in the minority on commercial radio. We have 23 women speaking across Mamamia’s podcast network and 60,000 women who are listening to one of our shows each day. This clearly demonstrates the appetite for female-led audio content. Bringing Rachel into the Mamamia team will enhance our plans to innovate and evolve the women’s audio landscape,” said Mamamia content chief Holly Wainwright.

"Mamamia was one of the first media companies to see the opportunity in podcasting and they've built an impressive audience of engaged listeners. I'm so excited to work with the team to build on that success. The sky's the limit when it comes to podcasting and the team at Mamamia is committed to experimenting with new ideas and investing in new shows,” said Corbett.
