BENCH PR adds new senior consultant and clients

By Craig Daveson in Marcoms News on

BENCH PR has added a new senior consultant to its ranks this week as Tara Ballard joins the company alongside two new technology clients.

Ballard comes equipped with over eight years of experience in the PR and communications realm, including six at tech PR agency Howorth. She has also worked recently as a communications advisor for Toll Group.

At the same time, BENCH PR has brought the AI and behavioural science powered tech HR company Gooroo on board.

“We were impressed by BENCH PR’s understanding of our business, their expertise and knowledge of the Australian media landscape and their passion for the tech industry. We’re very much looking forward to working together to help boost our awareness and accelerate our growth,” said Gooroo vice president of marketing Darcy Cameron.

The second client to join is Code Like a Girl, an organisation focused on supporting girls with the tools and knowledge to succeed in IT through workshops and other events.

Ally Watson, co-founderCode Like a Girl applauded the BENCH PR team for their support of both women and technology over the years.

“We want to inspire girls of all ages to learn to code and thrive in technology careers and know the BENCH team are really passionate about this, as an all-female team working in the IT industry,” said Watson.

Jocelyn Hunter, managing director of BENCH PR, said: “Both Gooroo and Code Like A Girl are great examples of local organisations that are working to help companies not only meet a growing IT skills gap in Australia, but also to help them hire smarter and without bias. Code Like a Girl is a cause I’ve admired for a while, so I’m pleased we can help them with PR support to spread the word about the wonderful work they’re doing.”

For all matters related to Gooroo, Anna Kenneally is the best point of contact on Anna@benchpr.com.au or 0433 271 700.

All Code like a Girl enquiries can be directed to Kathryn Van Kuyk on kathryn@benchpr.com.au or 0414 726 958.
